Use the quiz above to make your own in about a minute. If you came here searching for "block you test me", you are in the right place: it is the same game as the don't block me quiz, just with a different name.
Where "block you test me" comes from
The game started as a joke in chats and stories: "I'm blocking my fake friends, should I block you?" The person posts a short quiz about themselves. Friends who know them score high. Friends who don't get "blocked", as a joke.
Because it spread by word of mouth, the name never settled. You will see:
- Don't block me test or don't block me quiz, the version where the creator says "know me or I'll block you".
- Block you test me or should I block you quiz, the version where the creator tests you.
- Fake friend test, which is the same thing again.
One idea, three or four names. For the rules and scoring in more detail, see our guide to the don't block me test.
Block You Test Me and this quiz, side by side
There is a site called Block You Test Me at blockyoutestme.app. Our quiz is on the home page. Both are free tools for the same game. Here is how they differ, using what each one says about itself and what our code does.
| Block You Test Me | This quiz | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Free | Free |
| Account | None, you get a private scoreboard link | None, no scoreboard |
| Questions | 10 about you, with a "Swap question" button | 10 about you, with a "Swap this question" button |
| Where your answers live | On their service, tied to your scoreboard | Inside the share link itself |
| Seeing results | Private scoreboard with each friend's score and answers | No scoreboard. Friends use "Send my score" to reply to you |
| What players see | Top 10 names and scores after they finish | Their own score, tier and which answers were right |
| Result levels | Three bands: blocked, thin ice, safe | Five tiers, from Bestie for life to BLOCKED |
| Touches your social accounts | No | No |
Block You Test Me also says quizzes nobody plays for 90 days are deleted. Ours has nothing to delete on a server, because there is nothing stored there.
What each tool does better
Block You Test Me is better when you want a dashboard. One private link shows every friend who played, their score and the questions they missed. You can also remove a player with a rude name. If you are running the quiz for a big group chat and want to see the full list, that is useful. The trade-off is that the scoreboard link is the only way to manage your quiz, so you need to keep it safe.
This quiz is better when you want it simple and private. Nothing is saved on a server and there is no link to lose. Your name and answers are packed into the part of the link after #q=, which browsers do not send to the website. The quiz opens for your friend the moment you share it. The trade-off is that you do not get a running list of scores. Friends send their result back by hand, which also makes the result feel more personal, since it arrives as a message in your chat.
The result screens differ too. Ours has five tiers: Bestie for life, Inner circle, On thin ice, One tap from blocked and BLOCKED. A score of 10 is Bestie for life, 8 or 9 is Inner circle, 5 to 7 is On thin ice, 2 to 4 is One tap from blocked and 0 or 1 is BLOCKED. Players can save a result image for their story.
Which should you pick?
Use this rule:
- You want a list of everyone's scores and are fine keeping a private link: use Block You Test Me.
- You want no account, nothing stored and a quick link: use the quiz above.
- You can't decide: make both. They take about a minute each, and friends who play one often play the other. They are different sites, so each one has its own questions and its own link.
How to run the quiz above
- Type your first name and tap Start.
- Answer 10 questions about yourself. If one doesn't sound like you, tap Swap this question for a new one.
- Copy your link at the end and drop it into a group chat or story. Not sure where to post it? See how to share your don't block me link.
- When a friend finishes, they tap Send my score and the result goes back to you in the chat. They can also tap Make your own quiz to start theirs.
Answer honestly. The game only works if the answers are really yours, and a couple of tricky ones are what separate real friends from people who only like your posts.
