How to tell if someone blocked you on WhatsApp
People who search for a fake friend quiz often want to know something more direct: did this person actually block me? WhatsApp does not send a notification, and it keeps the signs vague on purpose. These are the signs people usually check — none of them is proof alone, so look for several at once:
- One grey check mark. Messages to someone who blocked you stay at one check mark instead of two. An offline phone looks the same.
- No "last seen" or "online". You can't see when they were last active. They may also have hidden it in their privacy settings.
- No profile photo updates. Their picture stops changing or disappears for you. They may simply have removed it.
- Calls don't connect. Calls keep ringing or never go through. A bad connection can do the same.
