The quiz maker is at the top of this page: type your name, answer 10 questions and copy your link. If you have never made one, this page goes through each screen in order, then shows what happens on your friend's side and how to fix the usual problems. The game itself, the scoring and the "blocked" joke are explained in the Don't Block Me test guide; this page is only the how-to.
Before you start
You need a phone or computer with a browser and a group chat to send the link to. You do not need an app, an account or anyone else's permission. The quiz is free end to end, which the free quiz page covers if you want the details.
Step 1: Type your name
The first screen asks for your first name, with "e.g. Alex" as the example. This is the name friends see in the title of the quiz ("Alex's Don't Block Me quiz") and in the share message, so use the name your friends actually call you. The start button stays greyed out until you type something; if you see "Type your first name first", that is why.
Step 2: Answer 10 questions about yourself
You get 10 questions, one at a time, with a progress bar at the top. Each question has a few answer options; tap the one that is true for you. The line under the heading says it plainly: pick your real answer, because your friends will have to guess it.
Two tips that make the quiz better:
- Answer honestly, not aspirationally. If your go-to snack is really crisps, pick crisps. Friends are guessing the real you, and a "wrong" answer on your side makes everyone score low for no reason.
- Swap questions nobody could know. If a question doesn't fit you, swap it for another from the list of 30. A good quiz mixes easy questions a close friend gets right with two or three that separate best friends from followers. The question ideas page shows which kinds work.
Step 3: Copy your link
After the tenth answer the maker shows your quiz link in a box labelled "Your quiz link", with a Copy button next to it. Tap Copy and the button changes to "Copied!". That link is the whole quiz: your name and your 10 answers are packed into the part after #q=, so there is nothing to save and nothing to come back for. The link guide explains what the link holds and why it never expires.
Step 4: Share it
Under the link there are buttons for WhatsApp, Telegram, X and SMS. Each one opens the app with a ready-made message ("Don't block me quiz 👀 How well do you know Alex? Score low and you're getting blocked:") and your link on the end. For anywhere else, paste the copied link yourself: Instagram DMs, Snapchat, Discord, a group chat, an email.
If you want to post it on a story, tap Save a story image. The site draws a card with your name and the site address and saves it as a PNG you can post, then put the link in the story's link sticker or in your bio.
What your friends see
A friend opens the link and sees "Alex's Don't Block Me quiz" with the line "10 questions about Alex. Score low and you're getting blocked (it's a joke… probably)". They type their own name, then guess your answer to each of the same 10 questions.
At the end they get a score out of 10 and a tier:
| Score | Tier | What the card says |
|---|---|---|
| 10/10 | Bestie for life | Perfect score. You are never getting blocked. |
| 8–9 | Inner circle | Safe. You actually pay attention. |
| 5–7 | On thin ice | Not blocked… yet. Study harder. |
| 2–4 | One tap from blocked | Do you even know me? |
| 0–1 | BLOCKED | Pack your bags. You're blocked (as a joke). |
Under the score there are three buttons: Save image for story, which makes a result card with their score and tier; Send my score to Alex, which copies a one-line result they paste to you; and See the right answers, which shows their guess next to your real answer for each question. There is also a "make yours" link, so the game passes around the group.
Reading the results
Scores come back to you in the chat, one message per friend. Because nothing is stored on the site, that chat is your scoreboard. If you are running a round with several people, ask everyone to send their score by a deadline, then post the ranking. Five ways to turn this into a group game are on the Don't Block Me game page.
A low score is part of the joke, not a verdict. The tiers are written to be screenshotted and laughed at, and "See the right answers" gives the friend a way to learn the answers for next time.
Fix the usual problems
- The start button does nothing. You haven't typed a name yet. Type at least one character.
- "Copy" didn't copy. Some in-app browsers block the clipboard. Press and hold the link in the box to select it, then copy it by hand, or open the page in Safari or Chrome.
- The link opens the home page with no quiz. The part after
#was cut off when it was pasted. Copy the full link again, including everything after#q=. - The story image won't save. Wait a second after tapping; the button shows "Making image…" while it draws. If nothing appears, take a screenshot of the link screen instead.
- A friend got a question "wrong" that they should have got right. Check your own answer with "See the right answers" on their screen. If you mis-tapped, make a new quiz; it takes a minute.
- You want to change one answer. There is no edit, because the quiz lives in the link. Make a new one and send the new link.
Make yours now
Scroll up, type your name, tap through 10 questions and copy the link. The whole thing takes about a minute, and the home page is always there when you want to run a second round with different questions.
